Develop for web using modern, open standards

If you’re a web developer, and the choice is yours, choose not to embrace Flash on future projects. If you have lingering Flash dependency on existing sites, upgrade them to use more modern standards.

Let websites know you don’t want them to use Flash anymore

We understand that uninstalling may be too big a step right now. After all, it would mean losing access to a lot of great Flash-based games, among other things. If you’re not quite ready to uninstall, but in general you sympathize with the cause, how about letting sites and apps that rely on Flash know you would like to see future versions of their software use more open standards? Your voice has power – the more people they hear it from, the more likely they are to listen.

The case is essentially a zip-up wallet with multiple card pockets and — you guessed it — a spot for your iPhone. The handset can be accessed through a touchable plastic window, allowing you to run the device without having to remove it from the zippered pouch.

Founded in 2010, Fakejoy is the source for international t-shirts, connecting consumers with unique and wearable cultural works of art by designers from around the world. The concept of Fakejoy, “fabricating happiness”, was conceived 10 years ago. It was based on the idea that true happiness is the resulting satisfaction we feel from the efforts we exert in those areas of our lives we care about most.

Todd Lynch, the Founder and CEO, was inspired to design t-shirts when living and working as a Creative Director in Tokyo back in 2007. He was fascinated by the cultural overlaps between the Japanese and English languages and, as a designer by trade, wanted to find a way to illustrate them.

In 2008, shortly after returning to NYC, he teamed up with his business partner Ferhat Kalem, Fakejoy’s CTO, a Turkish native and Developer extraordinaire. They set out a goal to team with designers from around the world who’s art would capture cultural-related topics ranging anywhere from sports and foods to travel and disaster relief efforts, focusing on the ‘fakejoys’ that are of particular importance to the world at large.
